Polytech Associates' design team is committed to creating environments that empower our clients to provide a superior product, and their best service. Each element, from the building footprint to construction materials, lighting scheme, and color, converge to express the design concept, but most importantly, provide a functional environment for its users.

We believe that collaboration is key to achieving this vision. Our approach is hands-on, our communication style direct. Polytech's Principals are engaged throughout each project phase, continually encouraging our design and project teams to move toward developing the design to its highest potential.

Led by one of our Principals, our project approach encompasses the following:

Listen
The start of any successful project begins with listening to our clients. This creates the foundation for open communication, and helps our clients identify their goals, objectives, and criteria. We examine the site, conduct preliminary focus group research to understand the end user's functional needs, and meet with stakeholders to clarify their expectations.

Define
Our team clarifies the design problem and criteria with which we will evaluate each decision as we develop the building program design. We will also collaborate with the client to establish scope of work, schedule, and budget.

Create
We develop schematic design palettes that offer our clients several distinct ways of approaching the design problem. We encourage our clients to combine different design elements from each concept, and work with them to ensure that their selections remain within the project budget, and can be achieved within the prescribed schedule. The selected concept/s are then further refined throughout the design development process.

Collaborate
Good design is not created in a vacuum. We work with our design team, mentoring our staff to continue pushing the design to its potential, and encourage dialogue with our project team to ensure that their ideas are integrated into the overall product. We keep the client informed of progress and work with them to resolve issues surrounding budget, schedule, and scope of work.

Construct
We believe that design is equal to technical coordination; simply put, a building must be designed so that it can be constructed. One of the hallmarks of our practice is the balanced view we apply to each project. Our technical writers work closely with our client and designers throughout each phase of the project to ensure that their vision can be achieved.
